This is a wonderful place for celebrations, high tea or a lunch. We have been frequenting this location for years and have found the quality to be consistently high. The food is very fresh and made to order. The salads are all delicious for different reasons. Try the chicken salad. It is delightful with a salad or on a croissant. Mrs. Teapots is the general chef and also a pastry chef, and it shows. She has incredible stamina and perseverance. If you stop in, take a look at the woodwork that her husband completed. The pink ceiling tiles are perfect. It is a peaceful place to recover from the daily demands. They also sell black tea, teapots (very unique) and other tea related items (nightlights, tea warmers etc). Compared to many other tea shops we have visited, you certainly get more for your money.

While reading through the reviews I see I am not the only one who noticed how grumpy and rude the owner (Paula?) Is. It is unfortunate because the tea room is very quaint and cute. My daughter and I were celebrating our Mothers Day together and after waiting 40 minutes for the first course of High Tea to arrive (of which we had reservations) the food was not the quality I would expect from a tea room. The scones were small and dry and no clotted cream was offered to go with them. I also asked (when I made reservations) if they had any low sugar options for dessert. So when dessert came my daughter received the normal desserts but I received 3 large strawberries for my 'low sugar dessert'! I was surprised that no effort seemed to be made to offer a real homemade low sugar 'dessert'. I have plenty of recipes that I could share with them. When it was time to pay, the total was nearly $5 more per person than is listed on their website! When this was brought to their attention I was told that the son 'hadn't updated the website yet although the prices went up 2 months ago". We still were required to pay the increased amount with no apology! We could hear all of the rude comments and frustration, coming from the kitchen, due to the amount of walk-in guests they had that day. The waitress tried her best to make things cheery, but we will definately NOT be back! I normally don't leave negative reviews but feel like other potential guests should be informed. If you are looking for a very relaxing, low stress High Tea, you may want to look elsewhere. :(

Such a unique place for a great time with friends! We brought a large group (about 10) girls and were overly impressed with the tea selection, dress up clothes & hats, and food! Highly recommended!

My first time I was at Awe, can't wait to bring more people here, love everything about Mrs Teapots , but mostly they had Hat's to wear there !!
